My sweet little LoveBird has announced that he is "all done" with me calling him "Lovebird".
How sad was I! Still though when I ask him..."where's my Beautiful?" He will quickly point to himself and say "Right here!"
These shots are of him at a nature hike we went to, and some shots around the house of Jonathan being a little Lovebird.
The last one was taken after we saw Ratatouille.
Joshua started soccer this month. He surprised us with his skills and he quickly became one of the best players. It's amazing how seriously these little guys take their games sometimes, other times you can tell they get distracted. It's funny. The parents really get into it. Welcome to organized sports - don't let me beat somebody up, now! lol.
This was during our first week of school. We learn about 3 letters a day. Most of this is review for Josh because he already knows the letters, but he is getting better and better at writing them. It used to take us quite a while to finish the handwriting worksheet, but now he can do it in 5 minutes...and almost without my coaching.
He loves school and has been decoding phonics since he was 4. I was shocked one day when he took a flash card and read the word on his own.
The love of learning is so evident in little ones!
I was surprised this day because up until this pic was taken, Jonathan only cut in short lines and made "grass-like" fringe out of paper. Suddenly he took a scissor and cut all the way across the page. I was impressed! I made them each a basket full of school time supplies like glue, pencils, crayons, markers, chalk and small black board, ect...
Each day when I give them their basket they are ready to sit and color or write. Jonathan does as much as he wants, eventually he will announce that it's time for him to play cars and will leave. But I am surprised at how much he gets out of it, too.
